Since July 2016, Catharine Peebles has proudly served as a criminal defense attorney across North Carolina, representing clients in thousands of cases throughout Raleigh, Durham, Orange County, Johnston County, Alamance County, and beyond.

After earning my B.S. in English from North Carolina State University, I pursued my J.D. at North Carolina Central University School of Law. During law school, I gained hands-on experience supporting attorneys through NCCU’s Criminal Defense Clinic and became one of the first interns with Legal Aid’s Second Chance Initiative — a program committed to expanding legal access for underserved communities in Wilson, Durham, and Wake County.

My practice focuses exclusively on criminal law, including domestic violence, DWI, traffic offenses, child custody, and license restoration. I am a proud member of the George H. White Bar Association, 10th District Bar, Wake County Bar, and affiliated with the Black Lawyers Association.

Outside of the courtroom, I enjoy traveling, weightlifting, and spending quality time with my family.
